Well my birthday is in less than 20 days. Hoorah! Big 19! As many of you know, I am a big fan of the headbands from Ban.do. I especially love that they have a line of still beautiful headbands that are actually affordable (sort of. I still do not want to pay $50 for a headband. Actually I don't pay $50 for anything. But they are so darn adorable!) Anyway, here are some of my favorites from heart by ban.do:
And my FAVORITE favorite:
p.s. I wish I lived in England so I could spell favorite as favourite. There is a whole long list of reasons I wish I lived in England, actually.
So Etsy shop = up and running! A little vintage, a little handmade goodness, a lot of pretty things! For your shopping pleasure (all of the items above are currently for sale!), I am proud to present Vintage Whale.
I would like a job already, if that is okay with you. Or even a callback from Target. You know, something/anything. Because I am getting desperate and I don't like this game at all. So you can just get right on that and you have my number.
Thanks oh so much,
P.s. I like Mucha ever so much, and Art Nouveau (but I DO NOT condone smoking, so don't do it, kids!).
Finals and papers = finished! And I am going home tomorrow! I think those are actually some pretty amazing things to have a 150th post about (for me at least). I hope everyone has a terrific summer. Listen to some awesome music (I recommend Rilo Kiley's cd The Execution of All Things), drink some lemonade, and be happy!
P.s. Sorry the pretty picture is partially cut off. On the left, it says 'Do you want to be happy?' And if anyone knows how to fix the format so wider pictures all show up, I would greatly appreciate some instructions! *Thanks ever so to ApachesPrincess for the comment on how to fix my layout. Now I can have large photos galore!
During my procrastinatory jaunt on the internet, I rediscovered We Heart It, which is a collection of many many many lovely images. Here are some that I found that I especially liked before guilt kicked in and I went back to essay writing.
P.s. My next blog post will be my 150th and I feel like it should be about something significant or extremely excellent. Any ideas? Also, I would love to do a giveaway eventually, but perhaps I will save that for 200.
P.P.s. I have been studying Italian and isn't it strange how what takes multiple words in English takes only one or two in another language? For example, "I can explain it to you" in Italian is "Posso spiegartela." Six words vs. only two!
I absolutely love period films. Absolutely and totally and completely. Austen and Dickens and Bronte and Gaskell adaptations, oh my goodness. In fact, sometimes it feels like all I want to do with my time is watch 5 hour movies. Here are pictures from my favorites:
Pride and Prejudice (1995 version, of course!)
This is probably my favorite overall movie, not just of period pieces.
Wives and Daughters
Jane Eyre (2006)
North and South
all pictures (except Little Dorrit ones) from here.
Do you have a favorite period film? Or perhaps a favorite actor (like dear Colin Firth)?
